Meet Your Therapist: Chelesa Jenkins
Chelesea Jenkins, MAATC, ATR-P, LPCA is an art therapist and counselor residing in the Greater Hartford Area of Connecticut. She received a BA in Studio Arts, minoring in Asian Studies from the College of the Holy Cross. She then went on to get her Masters of Arts in Art Therapy and Counseling from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT. She has worked in schools and libraries. She currently has been working with teens and their families who struggle with family conflict, substance use, risk behavior, trauma, legal concerns and other mental help concerns using the Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) Model. She uses art, talking and board games to guide clients in finding their unique inner voice, discover the core of behaviors, and learn the best way to live and grow.
